InterStack is a framework for performing interoperable digital transformation. The framework defines four (4) main building blocks that allow governments and large corporations with multiple systems to build integrated digital infrastructures. The building blocks include:
- Common Data Dictionary: A Common Data Dictionary (CDD) is a centralised repository that defines and standardises the meaning, format, and usage of data across systems to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Application Programming Interface (API): An API (Application Programming Interface) is a set of rules and protocols that allows different software applications to communicate and share data or functionality.
- API Gateway: An API Gateway is a tool that manages and routes requests between clients and backend services, handling tasks like security, load balancing, and request processing.
- Identity and Access Management: An Identity Access Management (IAM) system is a framework that manages and controls who can access resources, ensuring secure and authorised access.
